KEYNOTE PANEL

Our Friday Networking Event is headlined by our Keynote Panel featuring three stellar West Virginians.

Curtis Fleming, Jina Belcher and Chris Fussell take centerstage to discuss how outdoor recreation is playing a pivotal role in West Virginia’s economic resurgence.

Curtis Fleming is the Founder, Host, and Executive Producer of the Fly Rod Chronicles and brings a unique blend of real-world experience and captivating storytelling to the panel.

His passion for fishing, conservation, and vibrant personality are evident in every episode of his award-winning show, where he shares his extensive angling knowledge.

Before his TV career, Curtis spent 15 years in education, working with troubled youth and leading a gas & oil company.

Jina Belcher is the Executive Director of the New River Gorge Regional Development Authority. A stalwart advocate for economic development, she brings a wealth of expertise and fresh perspective on WV’s outdoor recreation economy.

NRGRDA is the largest regional EDA in the state and encompasses the footprint of the federally protected lands of the National Park – Raleigh, Fayette, Nicholas, and Summers counties.

Chris Fussell is the President of McChrystal Group, former Navy SEAL, and owner of Water Stone Outdoors in Fayetteville.

He brings a wealth of experience in cross-functional collaboration, knowledge sharing, and decision-making from his time in Special Operations, applying these skills to help large corporations navigate challenges similar to those faced in the military.

PHILIP BOWEN TO PERFORM

When Phil Bowen takes centerstage at the 2024 Almost Heaven Classic at Adventures on the Gorge, he’ll be doing so just miles from his hometown.

The talented singer-songwriter grew up in Montgomery, located on the other end of Fayette County, and he’s ready to bring the soul of Appalachia to life through his music in our nation's newest national park.

The America’s Got Talent semifinalist has graced iconic venues like The Bluebird Cafe and NPR's Mountain Stage.

Now, he’s performing in the heart of our nation’s newest national park.

"I'm so excited to not only play a show in my HOME state, but in my HOME county! Fayette County has such a special place in my heart, and I can't wait to share some songs with y'all,” Bowen told Mountaineer Media.

Bowen's debut album, "Old Kanawha," has earned accolades for spreading a message of positivity. He has also become a social media sensation, and you can check him out HERE.
