Bio

Dr. Travis Kahle is the Director of the Center for Career Development at the University of Charleston.  Travis is dedicated to making a positive impact on his students and community by developing effective leaders.  He researches and writes about Positive Leadership and workforce development.  Travis is the host of UConnect the Podcast and the owner of 5 String Leadership, a career and leadership development company.  He also teaches business and general education courses at the University of Charleston.     

Travis obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing from Indiana University, his MBA from the University of Kentucky, and his Doctor of Executive Leadership from the University of Charleston.  He is an avid bluegrass and gospel music fan and former banjo player for the group Mountain Shadows.  He resides in his hometown of Wayne, WV with his wife, Kimberly.  They enjoy traveling, gardening, running, and spending time with their three dogs and two cats.
