Wing 2 Wing Foundation Backs the AHC

We are honored that the Wing 2 Wing Foundation is a high level sponsor of the Almost Heaven Classic. The foundation was founded by Brad and Alys Smith with the aim of championing human dignity while unleashing human potential in West Virginia.

We first met Brad Smith on an episode of our podcast and since then have been inspired by his drive to improve West Virginia.

Their mission is to:

"Become a showcase for the nation, where do-ers can fulfill their dreams in Appalachia by unleashing the power of human potential through the advancement of education, entrepreneurship and the environment."

Smith is now the President of Marshall University and is extremely passionate about giving back to his community. Both Brad & Alys believe that the foundation can help to create a brighter future for Appalachia by providing opportunities for education, entrepreneurship, and environmental stewardship.

The Wing 2 Wing Foundation focuses on three key areas: education, entrepreneurship, and the environment.

In the area of education, the foundation provides scholarships, mentoring, and other support to students in West Virginia. They also work to improve the quality of education in the state by supporting innovative programs and initiatives.

In the area of entrepreneurship, the foundation provides funding, mentoring, and other resources to entrepreneurs in West Virginia. They also work to create an environment that is conducive to business growth and development.

In the area of the environment, the foundation works to protect the natural resources of Appalachia. They support projects that promote clean air and water, sustainable land use, and the conservation of wildlife.

Here are some additional details about the foundation:
