Gritt’s Farm

It was a brisk autumn day when we headed to Buffalo, WV for our annual visit to Gritt’s farm, a working farm that with 300 acres allotted to family fun. They have animals, play areas with slides and peddled vehicles, tractor rides, a brand new obstacle course and a corn maze, among my other things. It’s always a great way to welcome fall and get ready for Halloween by had picking the perfect pumpkin for the pumpkin patch.

Since 1927, Gritt’s Farm has been a well-known landmark in the Kanawha Valley, and their family has been an active part of the community. The family roots began in Buffalo with Veto and Nellie Gritt’s establishment of the current farm operation. Today, they continue to thrive with their family’s fourth generation growing up on the farm. They have changed, evolved, and adapted their agribusiness to serve the needs of local and regional customers.

The boys look forward to the trip every year.
